My attempt at writing a positive song about what’s wrong and what must be done to start to fix it.

Just can’t wait for a new tomorrow--gotta get on it right away
Just can’t wait for a new direction--where were goin’ in the USA
Just can’t wait to work together--before it gets too late
We gotta try to save this country--because you know that it just can’t wait

We just can’t wait for another president- Just can’t wait to end this war
Just can’t wait to take a different road--than the one we took before
Just can’t wait to be optimistic--instead of livin’ in a fearful state
We gotta work for peace together-because you know that it just can’t wait .

Is there a boogie man hidin’ under your bed--wantin’ you to live in fear?
Just shine a light on that boogie man–and watch him disappear

Just can’t wait to feel more positive--and lose these neo-con blues
Just can’t wait to go to an airport--and not have to take off my shoes

Just can’t wait to live in a democracy--wouldn’t that be great?
Let’s get to work on it right away, because you know that it just can’t wait

Just can’t wait to change this government because it keeps getting worse and worse
Just can’t wait to stop this war machine--and throw the damn thing into reverse
Just can’t wait to spread around joy and love--instead of fear and hate
Aw, come out, come out, wherever you are
Because you know that it just can’t wait
