Worry

You can tell by the nature of the songs I write that I do worry a little. You should too.
I worry about my body—I worry about my health.
I worry about others & I worry about myself.
I worry about life on Earth—especially with me gone.
I worry I won’t fine the words to end this worrisome song.

I worry about my wife and kids & they all worry ’bout me.
We co-exist, our little co-dependent family.
Yeah, we all worry together—that’s just what we do
And if you’re not worried, we worry about you.

We worry about this country
Seems like we’re goin’ astray.
Some folks thing our constitution is irrelevant today.
We got 3 thousand nukes here waiting for a war
And if we every use ‘em, no one worries anymore.

I worry folks ain’t about this
It makes me lose some sleep.
I worry that Americans are becoming docile sheep.
Dumb and getting’ dumber—watchin’ way too much TV
I worry they don’t worry enough & that’s what worries me.

I worry that some folks believe
That some ol’ bearded guy—waits for them up in heaven
And they’ll go there when they die.
I worry that they don’t worry enough ‘bout what’s goin’ on here now.
It may do no good to worry, but I worry anyhow.

Repeat first verse.
